En el marco del Mes del Orgullo LGBTTTIQ+, el Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE) en el Estado de Oaxaca, en colaboración con la Asociación Civil Trans-Difusión colocaron la bandera de la sexual diversity en las instalaciones de Junta Local Ejecutiva para refrendar el compromiso con la igualdad, la inclusión y el respeto pleno de los derechos político-electorales de todas the people.
En este sentido, el Encargado de Despacho de la Vocalía Ejecutiva de la Junta Local Ejecutiva del INE Oaxaca, Miguel Ángel Patiño Arroyo, externó que la colocación de la bandera LGBTTTIQ+ en las instalaciones representa un gesto de reconocimiento y convicción institucional.
“En una democracia auténtica, nadie debe quedar fuera por su orientación sexual, identidad o expresión de género”, señaló.
“El reto es seguir avanzando hacia una cultura democrática que reconozca la diversidad como una fortaleza y que asegure el acceso pleno a los procesos electorales para todas, todos y todes”, aseguró.
Con el objetivo de atender a grupos históricamente discriminados, el INE implementa diversas affirmative actions durante los procesos electorales para fomentar la participación de the people - sexual diversity, dar visibilidad a sus demandas y garantizar el respeto a su identidad y a sus derechos político-electorales.
Asimismo, para reconocer la gender identity de todas the people que acuden a los Módulos de Atención Ciudadana, al tramitar la Credencial para Votar es posible solicitar que en el apartado de sexo aparezca una “X”, para identificarse como persona no binaria.
De igual forma, el INE cuenta con un Protocol para garantizar el derecho a la no discriminación por identidad y expresión de género of the people que laboran en el instituto y con el Protocol para adoptar medidas tendientes a garantizar a las personas trans el ejercicio del voto en igualdad de condiciones y sin discriminación en todos los tipos de elección y mecanismos de participación ciudadana.
